Laghello - Arcapassana - Tana del Lupo (REL trail 655V)

Trail 655V is an internal connecting variant within the dense hiking network of Framura, a scattered village on the eastern Ligurian coast. The itinerary starts near the wooded locality of Laghello, in Castagnola, the highest and most inland hamlet of the municipality.

The route initially follows an old public farm track crossing dense vegetation typical of the hillside Mediterranean scrub, dominated by maritime pines, holm oaks and chestnut trees. As the trail climbs towards the ridge in the direction of Arcapassana, the environment becomes wilder and more secluded. The route offers panoramic views over the valley and the surrounding hills descending towards the Ligurian Sea. The walk ends in the Tana del Lupo area, historically associated with local place names and old legends from the La Spezia hinterland.

The trail surface is mainly unpaved and natural. It has no exposed or equipped sections, but because the elevation gain is concentrated within less than two kilometres, the gradient can be demanding in places. After heavy rainfall, mud may make the ground slippery: hiking shoes with a lugged sole are recommended.
