Scheda sentiero
Un affascinante itinerario verticale e di mezza costa che connette le storiche frazioni interne di Framura con la cresta panoramica del Monte Serra (Monte Serro), inoltrandosi nei boschi della riviera fino all'antico insediamento rurale di Case Serra.
This itinerary is an evocative and unspoilt rural connection entirely within the municipality of Framura, ideal for discovering the wooded and mountainous character of the eastern Ligurian Riviera. The route starts from the historic village of Setta, a characteristic medieval settlement with typical Ligurian tower houses, and begins climbing inland through the nearby locality of Ressa. From here, the trail leaves the main settlements and enters a lush, dense natural environment, climbing gradually among cultivated terraces and Mediterranean scrub until it reaches Foce del Prato at 320 metres above sea level, a strategic wooded pass known for pastures and historic agro-pastoral activities. From this junction, the route climbs the slopes and skirts the ridge line of Monte Serra, often marked on local maps as Monte Serro, with a maximum elevation of approximately 421 metres. This protected natural area offers extraordinary two-sided views over the Apennines and the open sea. The hike then gently descends the opposite slope to the historic Case Serra, also known as Case Serro, a small rural cluster isolated among chestnut woods and overlooking the valley towards Deiva Marina.
