Scheda sentiero
Una costante e piacevole ascesa collinare che collega il caratteristico borgo rurale di Dosso alla Foce di Dosso, importante valico di crinale e crocevia strategico dell'Alta Via delle Cinque Terre.
The trail is a classic vertical connecting route historically used to link the rural communities of the Levanto valley with the ridge paths along the watershed. The itinerary starts from the historic stone houses of the hillside village of Dosso, situated at approximately 180 metres above sea level. From the first section, the trail climbs the mountain slope through broad terraced olive groves supported by dry-stone walls, offering extensive panoramic views towards the gulf and the surrounding heights, including Monte Rossola. As the climb continues, the rural landscape gradually gives way to sheltered woodland vegetation. The route ends upon reaching Foce di Dosso at 428 metres above sea level, a fundamental and historic geographical pass. This junction is marked by an evocative small rural chapel, the Church of San Nicolao, and acts as a crucial connection with the AV5T, the Alta Via delle Cinque Terre, allowing hikers to continue towards Monte Bardellone or in the direction of the Sanctuary of Soviore.
