Bivio Baccadore - Sella Cravadora

The trail develops as a linear connecting route between two nodes of the local hiking network. Starting from the geographical coordinates of Bivio Baccadore, the track initially heads south through a series of tight bends and sudden changes in direction following the shape of the terrain. It then turns steadily north-east, alternating straighter sections with gentle natural ups and downs along the ridge, until it reaches the broad final hairpin bend leading to the end of the route at Sella Cravadora.

Suitable footwear: hiking boots or trail shoes with a lugged sole are mandatory. Despite the short length of the section, the woodland terrain and the passages over earth or scree require stability to avoid slipping.

Water supplies: there are no drinking-water sources along trail 556C. Refill before departure in the villages of Pignone or Corvara.

Pay attention to vegetation: in spring and summer, Mediterranean vegetation and brambles may become dense; wear lightweight long trousers to protect your legs from scratches and ticks.
